A Health Camp was organized on 26th May and 02nd June, 2012 at our corporate office by the Risk Management Department in association with the Apollo Heath Clinic. The event was to provide basic information about the health of the employees and promote a happier and healthier work culture at the workplace. Tests were done to diagnose any prevalent disease and employee were encouraged to share their health issues with the Doctor. The activity was done to emphasize on the importance of being healthy to perform better both professionally and personally by taking necessary corrective actions. It focused on the significance of early diagnose and hence prevent fatal disease and ailments. "After all the greatest wealth is health".
Sneha Kinetic Power Projects Pvt. Ltd. has conducted a free medical camp in association with Central Referral Hospital (Sikkim Manipal University) on 25th January, 2013 covering all age groups with several checkups and investigations like Medicine, ENT, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Dermatology, ECG, Hemoglobin, Blood Sugar and Urine Routine.
The medical camp was conducted at Lingdok Sr. Secondary High School which was a convenient venue for the locals and with the overwhelming response medical services were rendered till 4.00 pm which started at 9.00 am.
Greenko Star Student Award is an initiative undertaken by the company for helping students attending Government run municipal schools located close to our plants. Greenko instituted this award to encourage children from poor families to attend school and acquire quality education. This award has a special category for rewarding students who secure first three positions in class 10th. Girl students from 6th to 9th standard are also given awards. With this step we hope to encourage more parents to send their girl child to school.
The Greenko Star Student Awards 2011 were given at six of our plants. 48 students qualified for the awards and they were given cash prize and a memento along with a certificate. The awards were presented on the occasion of Independence Day in some schools and at special functions at the other respective schools.
The Greenko Star Student awards initiative was well received by the students, teachers and the schools. It is a great incentive for students to do well and motivate them to continue with their education.
Greenko Group conducted the 6th annual "Greenko Open Quiz" on Saturday 3rd Aug 2013 at RNR Auditorium, Lotus Pond, Road No. 12, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
Greenko conducts this quiz as a social awareness initiative on environment for all age groups. It is a fun quiz with wide ranging subjects from general knowledge to politics, sports etc. The quiz had a tremendous response with over 1000 participants from across the country and consisted of students, corporate and people from various age groups. The quiz was attended by corporate like Google, Microsoft, Infosys, Oracle, Delloitte . There were almost 50 schools which registered for the quiz including NALSAR, DPS, Jubilee Public School, MVSR Engg. College from Medak, NPTI (National Power Training institute) Faridabad.
There was a written elimination round and the top 8 teams qualified for the finals. The winning team was "QED" from Chennai, "Royal Bengal" from Bangalore stood second and the third prize was won by "Dead Parrots Society" from Chennai. "FIIT JEE" won the Best School award in the school category and "Infosys" won the Best Corporate award in its segment.
An Eye Check up camp was organized by Greenko on 11 th Sept 2016 in coordination with Rotary Hospital Palampur . This camp was in vicinity of M/s Greenko Sai Krishna Hydro Energy Pvt Ltd (Luni II and Luni III) at Community Centre Village Deol , Tehsil Baijnath, District Kangra HP and it was in easy approach of Binua and AWA Hydro plants of Palampur cluster . Thus the residents of effected Panchayat of fours plants were beneficiaries viz M/s Greenko Sai Krishna Hydro Energy Pvt Ltd (Luni II and Luni III) , M/s Greenko Anubhav Hydel Power Pvt Ltd and M/s Greenko Astha Projects(India) Pvt Ltd . Sufficient number of vehicle were deployed to pick up and drop the patients from their respective villages. The Registration for Eye Camp commenced at 0900 am and the camp concluded at 0330 pm. Dr Rohit Eye specialist reached at camp site with two paramedical staff and necessary medical kit. Total 354 patients of all ages participated in the camp and 45 patients have been referred for eye surgery. Free eye drops were distributed to the patients. We have issued letter for patients diagnosed for eye operation between 12 September to 23 September 2016 at Rotary Eye Hospital Palampur. The local Panchayat Pradhan supported Greenko in successfully accomplishing the camp . They also appreciated the initiative of the Greenko Group and shared their feeling that the camp has spread a positive message about Greenko Group.
